As Fortech’s co-founder and CEO, Calin leads the company’s organizational and business development, successfully positioning Fortech as one of the most representative Romanian companies in IT outsourcing.

Prior to founding Fortech, Calin worked in software development, starting as software developer and moving up the ladder to technical manager. He has also been an associate professor at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and has served as a member of the Directors’ Council of the CLUJ IT cluster.

Calin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an Executive MBA from the Executive Academy of Vienna University of Economics and Business.

As a writer, editor, interviewer, moderator and columnist in the tech media world he covers everything the smallest tech startups and the largest tech giants. Lately, he’s been writing a lot about Blockchain and Crypto.

Șerban Țîr has a 14 years experience working with Sillicon Valey based companies. During this period he played different roles within the software projects he was involved in, starting with software developer to Vice President of Engineering. The experience includes business relationships with small start-ups as well as very large public companies. Currently he is CTO at Gemini Solutions group of companies.

He understood the real value of high-tech innovation, and he is one of the initiators of the GeminiFoundry initiative, a "flexible accelerator" which promotes Romanian high-tech start-ups to the American market.
